You create your Coffee After Workaccount with a personal email, and then verify a work email while setting up your profile. Here's why we ask for it and how it works.
Built for working professionals
Coffee After Work is built for working professionals who want to meet other professionals. Verifying a work email keeps the community genuine and trusted, and helps confirm that the people you meet really are who they say they are.
When you verify it
Your personal email is what you sign in with and where we send codes and account updates. Separately, after you add your photos and before your profile goes live, we ask you to confirm a work email. We send a six-digit code to that address, and entering it completes the step. This step is required and can't be skipped.
Personal email providers aren't accepted as a work email
Your account email can be any address you check often, including Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook. Your work email is different: because a personal inbox can't confirm where you work, personal email services aren't accepted at that step. You'll need an email at your company's domain.
What about my privacy?
We use your work email to verify eligibility and manage your account — not to contact your employer or share where you work with other members, and it is never shown on your profile. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
